Formed in late 2008, The Chicago Women's Park and Gardens Advisory Council (formerly Park 550 Advisory Council) is a non-profit, all volunteer group who are actively and collectively working together to develop, foster, and sponsor educational programs and community activities that raise funds to enhance indoor cultural, art, & field house facility (at 1801 S Indiana Avenue) and the adjacent Chicago Women's Park and Gardens (1827 S Indiana Avenue).
Working with the Chicago Park District (CPD), the Advisory Council represents the community's interest in developing, improving, expanding, and creating new Educational programs, promoting preservation of Chicago's Women's Park and Gardens by ensuring maintenance and operation of the park is to Chicago's Landmark requirements, while working with other municiple, community, and Not-for-Profit stake holders to provide educational and cultural opportunities that serve the community at large.
